IMPACT's DC Happy Hour today was very successful. Over 50 law students from schools across the country gathered at Hogan & Hartson to mingle and hear about the work that we are planning for this coming Fall. We had lots of interest from students who want to bring their schools into the fold, and we're excited to work with them over the coming months to make IMPACT's election protection program a massive success.

A second event will be held in DC in a few weeks. This will be a more formal strategy/information session where members of the National board will explain more about how individual schools can get involved, and the steps we can take together. WATCH THIS SPACE for more information!

IMPACT co-hosted a lunch talk today at Columbia Law School to introduce students to lobbying. Around 70 students turned out to hear Michael Hettinger talk about the realities of lobbying, and the huge (and important) effect it has on the legislative process.
